Chances of getting into UW Seattle?

So I live in the state of Washington and I would like to get into UW Seattle because it is the best public university in the state. I am just worried about my GPA and SAT scores. I am a junior right now and my gpa for this year is around a 3.5. My cumulative GPA is 3.7 but it will drop slightly after this year because of my junior year gpa. The classes I am taking are:

Visual Communications 1
French 3
English 3
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra 2/Trig
AP US History

Next year I will be taking
Physics
Psychology
Visual Communications 2
Law/Economics
AP English 4

My SAT score was a 1730 but I know I can get it up. But I am still worried. I am going to do my 4th year of tennis next year (2 years jv 2 years varsity) and I am in various clubs. The acceptance rate for UW is around 58%. What do you think my chances are?

Bump…

I think you’re in good shape, especially since you are in-state. Im looking to apply here as well.

I am still worried if my GPA and SAT can pull through though.

You’re under average stat wise. Try as hard as you can to pull your sat1 above a 1900 and you’ll have a decent shot.

You need to bump up your grades and SAT. Get involved with leadership in extra curriculars. I know a lot of kids (I’m instate too) who got waitlisted with similar stats. Take more AP’s and show you can handle class rigor. Being in various clubs won’t get you into UW. Taking leadership and doing unique projects will get you in to UW. Also, be sure to work hard on the personal essays this summer. Good Luck.
