Chances of Getting into Virginia Tech (Regular Decision)

I was deferred from Tech's early decision program yesterday. I am hoping that I can get into tech with regular decision because my GPA (senior year, first quarter) was a 4.6.

Here are my other stats:
School:
Freshman GPA - 3.36 ( All Honors with one Pre-AP class)
Sophomore GPA - 3.89 (AP World History, all honors, and Algebra 2 with Trig(honors math))
Junior GPA - 3.94 (AP Biology, AP US history, Pre-Calculus, all honors)
Senior GPA - 4.6 (AP Chemistry, Physics, AP English Language, AP Calculus AB, AP US/Comparative Government, Spanish 4 Honors, etc)

My GPA overall is a 3.65 as of right now (without senior grades). I am hopeful, however, because my GPA is on a rise. Colleges will like this I think. My GPA with my senior year first quarter is a 3.92.

I have quite a few volunteer hours ( about 90).

Two extracurriculars throughout high school ( UNICEF in 11th grade and 12th grade and Medical Club 12th grade). And yes I know that is kind of pathetic to only have 2.

SAT:
First Time = Math: 580 Reading: 600 Writing: 590 Overall: 1790
Second Time = Math: 620 Reading: 640 Writing: 690 Overall: 1950
Third Time = Math: 650 Reading : 620 Writing : 700 Overall: 1970
Superscore = 1990
Is my highest score (1990 super scored) adequate for VT?

Unfortunately, I don't have any SAT Subject tests.

I'm thinking of going to VT for either Physics or Engineering as my major. Most likely Engineering.

And I am applying In-State.

By the way, my ethnicity is Indian, which falls under Asian. My parents keep telling me this will increase competition to get into colleges because most Asians have good grades. Will this seriously affect my chances of getting into VT?

In addition to all this, my friend told me today that I was most likely deferred because Tech looks at Alumni, disadvantaged students, and exceptional students above ordinary students for early decision. Is this true? And do I have a chance of getting in regular decision?

And finally if this post looks slightly familiar, I posted almost the exact same thing a while back. But I wanted to post again to include my senior year gpa and other stuff to see what my chances are.

Thanks.
