School:
Freshman GPA - 3.36 ( All Honors with one Pre-AP class)
Sophomore GPA - 3.89 (AP World History, all honors, and Algebra 2 with Trig(honors math))
Junior GPA - 3.94 (AP Biology, AP US history, all honors)
Senior GPA - Still haven't started but will probably be between a 3.9 - 4.0
The classes that i have shown are all the ones that are fairly hard.
My GPA overall is a 3.68. I am hopeful, however, because my GPA is on a rise. Colleges will like this I think. And if colleges do average in my senior year GPA. I think it will be around a 3.82 or so.
I have quite a few volunteer hours ( about 70 or so).
One extracurricular all of high school ( UNICEF in 11th grade). And yes I know that is kind of pathetic.
SAT:
First Time = Math: 580 Reading: 600 Writing: 590 Overall: 1790
Second Time = Math: 620 Reading: 640 Writing: 690 Overall: 1950
I'm thinking of taking it a second time; is my highest score (1950) adequate for VT?
I don't have any SAT Subject tests.
I'm thinking of going to VT for either Pre-Health/Pre-Med or Engineering.
And I am applying In-State.
By the way, my ethnicity is Indian, which falls under Asian. My parents keep telling me this will increase competition to get into colleges because most Asians have good grades. Will this seriously affect my chances of getting into VT?

oh btw, my senior year classes are quite difficult (AP Chem, AP US Gov/Comparative gov, AP Calc AB, and AP Language (which is AP English), Spanish 4 Honors, and physics). And as for past AP exam grades: AP World History was a 3, AP US History was a 5, and AP Biology was a 4.

You have pretty decent stats, but I would still try to improve on your standardized test scores. Good luck!

Contrary to what your parents think, it’s harder for Asians because of being ORM

@collegebound202 Do you think I should be focusing on improving the math portion of my sat?

@SonicCare Sorry, but what does ORM mean?
