Chances of getting of a waitlist? (I'm #50)

<p>I'm trying to get into Anthro 2AC and I'm #50 on the wait-list. Do I have a chance of getting off the waitlist? Should I even bother signing up for it?</p>

<p>Look at all the listed AC courses and their description for this semester and tell me you still want to sign up for Anthro 2AC.</p>

<p>The general rule according to a paper they handed out at Calso is: if you are in a position on the waitlist that is within 10% of the maximum number of enrolled students, you will probably get in. An example for a class of 200: </p>

<p>200(.1)=20. </p>

<p>So, for example, if you were within the first twenty spots on the waitlist of a 200 person class, you should expect to get in.</p>
