Chances of Getting Recruited for Basketball from a Community College?

What are the chances of a college student in a community college getting recruited by a d1 ncaa school from a d2 njcaa school?

...also to mention that this college basketball player has never played basketball in highschool...but played basketball on the streets.

Are the chances most likely impossible to very very slim? Every time I see a player recruited, its mostly from highschool.

Im also near close to completing my 60 credit hours ready for transfer, so i dont know what do do in that case.

I don’t know how much this will help you but my daughter is possibly going to play Juco ball and the coaches that are recruiting her all feel they can get her a scholarship out of JC. However we are not in the market for D1, she is looking at NAIA or D3 schools and although I think anything is possible for recruiting, unless you have a coach who is well connected and really trying to help you get recruited, I expect if you set the bar too high you might be disappointed.

If after 60 credit hours no D1 school has contacted you then it is probably not going to happen. You can try sending your game tapes to some lower/smaller D1 school…you never know maybe one will bite.

I actually had a friend went to Juco. After scoring 40 ppg and avg. 3.4 assists got an offer from University of Southern Alabama so chances are unless you can play and your coach actually wants to let you go, I mean he is cool and all with you leaving his program then you will get into major D1. D2 …you can just enroll into that :D
