I’ve had all A’s & B’s throughout freshman, sophomore, and junior year and got accepted early into FSU for a Physics Major. Unfortunately, I took 7 classes last semester (4 DE, 3 at school) and wound up getting a D in general physics. All my other classes were A’s, to include Calculus I, but that one D has automatically disqualified me to dual enroll again next semester. If I can’t work something out, I’ll have to change my SSAR and take online AP classes or something this semester. I’m slightly more worried due to the fact that I got a D in the class my major is supposed be in. How likely is FSU to rescind my acceptance?
I would recommend calling Admissions and explaining your situation as soon as possible. Most of the time your personal concern and interest, as well as being proactive, gives you a better reputation with the counselor and works in your favor. This way they can evaluate your circumstance individually and you possibly will have someone to vouch for you rather than look at you based on a rubric at the end of the year.
