I'm currently in my second semester of junior year. I have a 4.1 weighted GPA, 3.8 unweighted.

My SAT scores are ok.. not too great. I got an 1800 and I'm taking them again as well as the ACT for the first time in April. I was on varsity tennis freshman and sophomore year of high school, and have over 500 hours of community service between volunteering at a teen crisis hotline as well as through Hospice. I also have a part-time job.

I'm not from Colorado, so the scholarships that I could possibly get would be the Presidential or more realistically, the chancellors. Do you think between my GPA, test scores, and good extra-curriculars I could get a scholarship that might actually make a difference?

Last year my son had a 4.0 unweighted. 4.22 weighted GPA, ACT composite 31, and he was offered the Chancellor’s scholarship. If this helps.

Yeah it does, thank you! I’m really hoping i get a scholarship… CU is my number one choice but it’s craaaazy expensive! Especially for out of state…

ggfan939: Yeah, it is crazy expensive for OOS…I feel your pain, since I am the parent paying for it! The Chancellor’s helps but really it is a pretty small scholarship. But, hey, it is better than nothing! What state are you from? We are from California…

haha yeah my parents aren’t really looking forward to receiving that bill… but i have a job, and am working hard to get another and am trying to ease their pain! And yea it is a small scholarship… but hey it pays for something. Plus, and I guess it depends on what each individual is looking for, but if you add up everything including education, people, atmosphere, weather, nightlife, recreation, everything about boulder, although it would literally be Heaven on Earth in my opinion if it were cheaper… i don’t have to wonder why it’s so expensive.

oh and i’m from arizona

your in. no question. whatsoever.
