I took my first GMAT practice test last night and got a 640 without prepping or anything on the mba.com downloadable tests. I plan on taking the exam somewhere in the middle of January, so could I get that 640 up to a 750 or so?

PS. If this helps, I got a 2230 on my SAT....

Yeah, you’re going to improve if you practice. There is no doubt about that. However, Nobody on this forum can tell you whether a 750+ is plausible for you based on the given information; but the broader point is that you shouldn’t be seeking the comfort of internet-forum prescients. You should have an idea based on your background in math and english, the nature of the mistakes you made, and your overall intellectual wherewithal. In any case, you definitely need to study- and perhaps a dose of intellectual confidence wouldn’t hurt either.

haha i was seeking the comfort of people who’ve already taken the exam…that was my first time, so I had no idea what to expect – therefore intellectual confidence cannot be applied.

sorry to hear that japher - NOT

honestly, it was a real question from someone and you guys turned it into a joke - thanks a lot…sometimes i hate this site
