Chances of transfer acceptance?

Hello College Confidential,

I'm a Biology major from Boston College from San Diego California looking to transfer spring semester/winter quarter to UC Davis, Irvine, and San Diego. I'm applying with some scars on my transcript. Most notably a 3.0 GPA and 3 withdrawals, 2 of which came in the first year and the 3rd coming first semester of sophomore year. I am however president of my Club Tennis team, board member of Armenian club and am relatively strong with work experience and extra curriculars. do I have ANY chance of getting the thumbs up? Brutal honesty would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about transferring spring 2013 to UC Davis too but I went on their website and you can only transfer before 2 years for certain majors so check out the transfer page on their website! I just googled UC Davis transfer

yah I’m actually gonna be a junior next year so that won’t be a problem for me. but thank you though!

California community college students have priority and articulation agreements. If you really, really want to go to a UC, then you should go to one. UCs rarely accept OOS transfers. Doesn’t mean it’s impossible that you’d get in, just not very likely.
