Chances of transfering to Cornell.

Hey I am a senior in high school. I didnt do to good in high school. For the most part Bs and Cs. My rank is in the 20th percentile. My SATs are very low 1090/1600. I know what your thinking, why is this kid even thinking of going to Cornell. But I love New York and would love to attend such a prestigous school. I got accepted to Rutgers University, I plan on going there for my first two years. So if I get straight As at Rutgers and finish strong at high school do I have a chance of getting accepted. Please do not give me false hopes only the truth thank you.

Apply to ILR at Cornell because it has a 60% transfer admissions rate.

It's always a good idea to apply, even to schools you feel are reaches. Honestly, it's about your essay, and it's probably in your best interest to tell them how and why Cornell would be a good fit for you. Ithaca is a pretty small town, it's surrounded by wooden areas and hills, it rains a lot, and the hills are pretty large, but if that's what your looking for, then mention that Cornell is in a small enough town that's conducive to you learning. Mention that, Cornell's website and current students are parallel in making Cornell sound completely supportive. Basically, anything you can think of that's positive, will help you. Just be sure to make sure you sound like Cornell is exactly what you're looking for, you're excited to start your college career there, and that you'll be able to succeed.

good luck.
