Chances of transferring to USC?

At the moment I am at a JC in the Bay Area and I am applying for transfer next year to hopefully get into USC. I'm going to be applying as a business major and I will have around a 3.5 - 3.6 by Fall/Winter of next year (from what my friends have told me USC takes into account winter grades and trends in grades). My grades right now aren't fantastic because my last grandparent passed away late into my winter quarter (which screwed up my GPA into the spring), but I plan on getting all A's from this point on. My courses that I will take next year will also satisfy all USC pre-reqs.

I was in Student Government this year as on the Finance Board and will be Vice President of Marketing (A position which I created) next year, and I will be the incoming secretary for the United Nations Club that was started this year. I also work part time as a sales associate and will have an internship at a private accounting firm for the summer, as well as possibly starting my own company.

I will also not be applying for financial aid (which people tell me helps).

Realistically, what are my chances of getting into USC? Should I apply as a different major then switch when I get in? Should I appeal if I don't get in?
