i don't have that many awards, i won magna cum laude for national latin exam, and i took the amc 12 twice, 92/96... 5th place in chem olympics for nj, and 9th place for nj math league freshman year...

ec's interact/peer tutoring/latin club/latin honor society/saturday strings/violin 9 years/gaming club/intramural hockey/chem club (president)/pit orchestra/model un/debate team/hunterdon symphony (regional symphony 1st violin)

excellent recs, average/above average essays

i know some of u have seen this before, but 25 bumps and only 2 replies... i had to post again

ahhh god damn it, i'm obsessed

You have a realistic chance at Cornell ED. If you get in you have to go, so don't worry about Harvard, Princeton, and Yale, where I do not believe you have a good shot. All of your stuff is fairly banal, and it lacks life. Yet, I think Cornell is well within reach. Good Luck!

what can i say... i tried to coast through hs... doing the bare minimum yet still looking dedicated... it's harder than it seems... furthermore... if i get rejected what are my chances at penn and columbia's seas programs... if i get rejected from all of them... i'll have another year of hs for reflection

yo i love nj
but um i think u have a pretty good chance at cornell.. columbia... probably.. good? but def not as good as cornell.. man u shud've applied columbia FU, their early acceptance is really like half. altho the kids are killing themselves at FU
um. the rest of the colleges... it's tough to say... nothing is really standing out, like where do your passions REALLY lie?
um, what else. hmm ur in hunterdon. if only i remembered where that is in relation to.. us.. (somerset)

yea... i used to live in somerset... about 15 mins away... i don't really love anything except for music... violin... and yea, i was applying early, but i withdrew that for cornell

hey at least u like violin
i play too (who doesn't)

cornell was def a good early choice, columbia may be tough, and hypsm, low probability. the others, good shots.

good luck! hope everybody gets in where they want to go. seems like everybody is so negative at my school, saying that theyre gonna get rejected from their earlies (and not joking about it).

oh and i play sax, not violin

dirty Jerz... gotta love it :)

i see we have a jersey fan club here... yea... afaforce... i'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess ur asian... cuz that would def explain the violin... i was hopin columbia seas and penn seas would be good rd's like maybe 50% to each.. cuz then i'd get into one... haha

haha good guesses ^^
lol yeah it's def not 50 after ed... idk about penn, but columbia's is still pretty high... like 20-30ish? idk. ne engineering is a ton of work...

30% ain't bad, if i can get 40% at penn... then hey, i'm in pretty good shape... otherwise it's off to rutgers

how about snafu university??

lolol funny, stanford =P

yeah um i think i may end up at ruggers.. cuz my second choice is northwestern.. and that's far and really really cold.

eh nothing wrong w/ ruggers.. we both get lots o aid...

word i think rutgers deadline for merit aid is that you gotta apply by dec 1st?

yea... i think so... but i'm not applyin to rutgers this year... if i get rejected by a ll my schools i go another orund next year... i'm 16*

yup, indeed. i finished it all. i clicked the personal statement by accident "to send later" and i had to freaking do it. >=( lol but it's all done. hopefully i'll get at least one acceptance letter soon =)

whaaa cujoe... ur not a sr and u've already applied? or are we talking like.. year as in.. 2004

yea... i'm a junior who finished all requirements and applied with the option of graduation

one of my friends graduated in her junior year because she took courses during the summer to earn the credits. is that what you did?
