Hi! I apologize if this in in the wrong place; this is my first time posting here....
I am a Junior at a public high school that is regarded pretty well (top 4% in nation). I would like to apply to go to Carnegie Mellon, but I am not sure if I can get in. I want to go in for biology or possibly chemistry in a field relating to Neuroscience. Here are my stats...
Junior, Caucasion Female

Grades-
Took AP Government as a Freshmen, got a 5 on AP Test
4 on US History Sophomore
Expecting to get a 5 on Psych and Lang this year, and maybe a 4 in world history and macro
my GPA is 3.88 unweighted,
4.3 weighted, and I am in the top 5.1% of my class (which is really frusterating, as you can imagine).

The only B's I have had were in the AP my freshmen year, H.Algebra two, and gym(hate gym. Hate.)
I am taking Chem 2 and Hman Antomy before I graduate, and hopefully will have an internship with the National Cancer Institute

My SAT score was a 2190 on my first time
800 on CR
690 on math
700 on writing (I refuse to take it again, as I doubt I can do this well again)
I know I should take SAT subjects, but should I do them in a subject I know I will do well in or in science-based ones?
Extracurriculars
I have 123 service hours
I have been in my school service club since sophomore year, as well as participated in Plays and the drama club. I joined the executive board of my national honor society, and will hopefully be president last year.
I started a mentoring program for my school with seniors and freshmen homerooms, started a mock AP practice test at my school, and raised an indefinate amoun of money for Relay For Life for a team I headed(All for the National Honor Society)
I have been competatively swimming since I was eight, and have held the same job as a private swim instructor since I was 13. I also work two more jobs over the summer.
.....And I'm pretty sure I can write a bangin' essay. Also, is there any way I can get a scholarship merit-based?
Thank you for your help :)
