Chances on top schools?

Hello,

I'd like to know your opinions on which top schools I could get into. My parents don't want to spend too much money so I would like to know if it's even worth bothering for some schools.

Freshman applicant

The schools:
Stanford
UCLA
Berkeley
USC
Columbia (both parents went to journalism school here)
Dartmouth
Brown
Cornell
Duke
UPENN
Harvard Yale Princeton (one of these three)

Sat scores:
Reading 690
Math 690
Writing 690

Subject tests:
Biology Italian and Spanish. Don't have my scores yet but pretty sure over 700 in all. And planning on taking Math 2 and physics in january.

ECs:
-Elected to represent my school at the next THIMUN conference (Model UN)
-Founder of first ever student chess club
-Have competed in soccer, lacrosse, tennis, basketball and swimming
-Volunteering with red cross
-Piano 8 years
-Guitar and Harmonica 1 year

I am going to play a lot on the fact that I'm american but have lived abroad (belgium) most my life with the exception of one year (sophomore) I spent in the US as an exchange student. Also multicultural Italian French and American, speak all fluently. Multidimensional great range of activities.
I have been going to a French school my whole life where school is really intense so we dont have much time for ECs and apparently they take that in account. My grades have always been good. Had around a 4.1 weighted (3.9 unweighted) the year I spent in the US i think.

Let me know. All advice is welcome whether discouraging or encouraging! Thanks!

I’ll list here the ones that are NOT reaches:

UCLA: Match (if you can be full freight)
Berkeley: Match (again, if you can pay full freight)

Every other school on your list are reaches, with Cornell and USC being more reachable than the others.

i’d say they were all reaches with some of them being impossibilities.
USC and UCLA you have a shot at, though.

Honestly most of those schools are reaches, except:
UCLA & Berkley which are matches
Cornell is a low reach
USC is a low reach/high match
Columbia may be a low reach due to double legacy

Do you have any safety schools picked out?

Thanks for quick feedback! Oh also I was wondering whether I should retake the normal Sats in january to up my scores or proceed as planned and take Math II and Physics

definitely retake the SAT I. your application is really competitive for those schools if you disregard your relatively low scores. if you get those up then you have a decent chance at most of them. good luck! :)

This site is awesome. Really grateful for all the helpful feedback. I’ve been accepted to several british schools and have applied to IU (indiana–>relatives and friends) so I dont really need a safety. I wont come to the US unless I get into a good enough school which would help me financially. And Ill consider retaking the Sat. Thanks again!

Bump… please…
