Chances on transfering to USC

I just finished up my application for USC and dropped it off at the office of admissions yesterday. I'm not sure how competitive my major is, does anyone have any idea?
Moorpark Community College
3.86 College GPA 59 Credits
2.9 HS

Major: B.S. in Music Industry.

Does anyone know how competitive a Bachelors of Science in Music Industry is? I have two good letters of recomendation, one from a retired professor/head of department at USC, and another who was a graduate some years back and donates a substantial amount of money yearly.

Thanks for any advice/comments

USC is easy to get in...i'm pretty sure you'll get accepted with that GPA

are you nuts? ccct- usc is now one of the harder schools to get into. Their freshman class has scored second highest in california for both sat's and gpa the past five years. Only stanford is harder to get into. On top of that, music is an impacted major. A 3.8 is a very good gpa and should get you in, but then again, as a music major with a 3.8 where wouldnt you get in?

thanks for your reply's, im a bit reassured now. appreciated it.

Ok, I have a USC question.
I am looking to pursue a second undergrad degree. I finished a journalism degree at a school in Oklahoma May '04. College GPA= 3.11. HS test scores were good (33 ACT) but HS GPA was 3.0. So, not a stellar record.
At university, I was editor of the school paper, was involved with the American Democracy Project (attended a seminar @the NY Times for the ADP) and was involved in other campus groups. I am professionally active in the Society of Professional Journalists, Professional Photographers of Oklahoma, etc., and have worked in my field.
Will my professional/EC be enough to help me overcome my sorry grades?
Would like to know if I have any hope before I send off an app.

USC is difficult to get in from high school
but fairly easy to get in from a California community college with their transfer program
