Play various instruments, however, most just for fun. But I have won a competition for piano.
Camp counselor over the summer and I also had an internship in a research lab (bio) for four weeks

I also have another question. I submitted my essays and then realized that I had a few mistakes (commas) in them (VERY FRUSTRATING). How horrible is that? English is not my first language; do you think they would take that into consideration?

Thank you for your help. I am so nervous. Wellesley is my first choice and I do not know why I did not apply ED. meh.

It's incredibly hard to tell for an outsider if he has chances at any school, and Wellesley is particularly difficult because they look at each student in such an individual manner. Your chances don't seem any worse than those of anyone else, with quite high SATs especially if English is not your first language. Also, having founded your own club is very impressive. What is your first language? German? (also, do you go to a high school in America?)
Meanwhile, don't look at your application material once they are submitted. It will only make the next couple of months more miserable for you. I made a mistake in my essay, too, in the first line, and I almost fainted when I saw it. In the end, it turned out I had worried for nothing, as I am now a happy first-year at Wellesley.
Good luck!

you're in...

Thank you for the encouraging words. Yes, my first language is German, and you are right, it was a HORRIBLE idea to re-read my application. But thank you, now I don’t feel quite as bad.

I can't tell you whether the adcom gets high off of "Eats, shoots and leaves", but I can't imagine one or two lousy commas would make or break your application. Wellesley's applications have gone up in recent years, but I cant imagine that they needed to slip hairs that badly. You didn't write about how you like to scan your body parts or flame people online, right?
Are the rules you messed up amiguous ones that few bother with or rather stupid things that would jar the reader out of what you wrote? If it's the former you may be fine. It would be far more grevious (in my opinion) if you messed up there/their, its/it's or your/you're.

^^That's funny--the first sentence of my essay talks about "eats, shoots and leaves." It's about how I love grammar. And crossword puzzles :)

It was one of those "However...." without a comma. Really dumb. That's actually one of the rules I know.

Wendy Mouse, in saying, "you like to scan your body parts or flame people online" are you referring to recent goings on at Wellesley on community?:)

Yes. :-) I was wondering whether a current Wellesley student was going to pick up my reference.
