The U of C is my first choice and I am applying there early. My dad's friend from college is a well-known college consultant and s/he tells me that I will get in but for all I know, s/he is just being polite - I mean s/he is my dad's best pal from college.

Asian male at a New Zealand public school, came over to New Zealand when I was 12, been living in a homestay ever since. I skipped two grades so I am 15.

I have 800 in math iic and chemistry and 800 in math, 710 CR and 650 writing in SAT I.

Ranked #1 out of 190 something students - strongest course load but no ap or ib classes since my school doesn't have ap/ib classes - we don't have GPA

I studied AP honor calc and university logic at Stanford EPGY moving onto multivariate calc this winter. I was at 99% percentile in a calculus exam (at AP level) I sat when I was 14. I was the fourth in Eton Press Math Competition which is a big time math competition over here. I study AP Chem at Johns Hopkins CTY. I studied data analysis with a professor at Dartmouth.

I am a school prefect/captain. Did an internship at a mental health center, findings were published. I organized a spelling bee and raised 10000 dollars for Worldvision.

My essays are pretty good, supposedly. My dad's friend wants to include it in her/his revised college admissions book so yeah I presume it's pretty good.

you have great chances!!! she wasn't just trying to be polite.
your sat's aren't stellar but acceptable.
this has been said over and over again: write great, outstanding essays for uchicago, as they really care about the essays. you may want to get them proofread or something.

actually I have 1510 in old SAT scale or Chicago scale- 800 in math and 710 in CR. 1510 is probably average at ivies and 650 writing score isn't exactly something to boast - well I guess colleges ought to cut me some slacks since I am an international whose first language is not English.

The admission director from UPenn who visited my country said that they know it's hard for internationals in the CR and Wrting section of SAT because it's not their first language. So , they lower the SAT CR and W section score "limit" for the internationals

No my dad's pal is not transexual. I just wanted to make sure that his/her identity remains secret. Pretty sneaky huh? No, s/he really is fairly well known and s/he is really paranoid about being private - so paranoid that my dad always makes fun of her/his celebrity complex. So I am just respecting his/her privacy. I may be going overboard with this but still.

Actually, I think your dad's (hermaphroditic???) friend is likely correct, and you do have a good shot. You might want to apply to a couple of RD schools first to get into the swing of college applications.

Good job on the chemistry 800 - that's a hard test to ace.
