Hi,
I'm in grade 11 so next year I am going to apply either to the Gallatin School or the Tisch School for theatre or film.
I am an international student (Canada) so I'm not sure if that is a drawback...I go to an arts high school where I major in Drama. My school is really well known even in England as a very good arts school.
I don't have that great of SAT scores, about 2000 (after 2nd Chance). (I haven't taken my SAT 2's yet which I will be doing in Bio and French..what will I need in that??) My GPA is 3.83. My school does not offer AP courses or an IB program so I'm not sure if that will be a drawback but I read that if it's not offered, they won't consider it but I've made honour roll every year, I've been in the top 10% each year in high school and in grade 9 I had the third highest average in my entire grade. My marks are always in the 90s. My extra curricalrs include:
-Fundraising organization at school: Kids Offering Willing Support
-Black History month organizer/performer
-School plays
-Math tutor for two students, one grade 9 and one grade 10
-Soccer team
-Dance for 13 years
-Competitive Dance for 2 years
-Rep Soccer

I have well over 200 volunteer hours from Gilda's Club Cancer house, Soccer Coach, Dance Pack leader and choreographer, Organization called Kids With A Cause to support underpriviledged children, I'm starting to volunteer at the Hospital where I live and in the summer I will be volunteering with a Disabled Children Program.
I will have created my portfolio for film by the end of the summer since I'm going to a summer camp to make a short film at Universal Studios and I've made short films in school.
What are my chances of getting in?
