I'm her cousin and I constantly hear her talking about how she will get in and everything will be perfect. Sorry if you guys didn't know that. But yea, I'm trying to give her a realistic view of her chances and she seems to ignore it. Optimism is one thing... This is an unhealthy and unrealistic obsession.

=( wow...um...gl but apply to other schools also =D

whoa, is this conversation about MY chances, or tinas?

tinas =D lol

o ok, i was really confused! haha

hehe, jk =D

I apologize that tinas had to butt in and steal your post.

I think you would fit right in at JHU. The only weaknesses I see are that you did not continue with athletics even though you showed potential. I did not see your class rank, so that could affect my opinion.

You are a reach at Harvard.
You are somewhere between a reach and a match at Columbia.
If you were out of state, you would be a match at UVA and William and Mary but because you are in-state you are somewhere between a match and a safety.
Vanderbuilt is a match.
BU is a match.
Tech is safety.
Auburn is a safety.

I hope you go to JHU.

thanks! my school doesnt rank but i'm in the top 1%. I'm tied for #1, but it doesnt really matter since my school disregards rank

whoa, how did that happen??? lol

Oh shut up arvand. you don't know *. You're so godddamn full of yourself. Butt the hell out of my JHU business. I didn't ask for your *ing opinion. And even if I ever did, I don't want it anymore.

calm down =( just enjoy thanksgiving =D

She can't really enjoy anything anymore, that's the sad part.

I can too. You have no right to say that for me.

whoa whoa, what is going on!!!!

arvandm and tinas...are you guys really related...? Come on...college admissions isn't so stressful that it breaks famliy relationships...

As for your chances LizzieE, they seem perfectly fine imo (for JHU). The only concern is your SAT 1's...depending on how they break down. Just make sure your essays are great.

Good luck with oncology or gynecology or whatever you choose to pursue...and please read the apology on a previous post of yours.

It might not matter at your high school, but it is very impressive and I would suggest you find some way to make JHU know about your success. I also hope you take a moment to reflect on your numerous achievements and realize that what ever school admits you will be fortunate to have you as a student.

Aha jovenes132, I'm only a junior so I'm not too stressed. It's more Tina that tends to freak out over these things. A lot of things I say on these boards are to tease her because she's become so obsessed. I really do love her and wish the best for her even if she takes things like this too far.

EDIT: THIS WILL BE MY LAST POST ON THIS THREAD!!! LizzieE must hate us. Sorry!

you guys are funny! and thank you JHU rocks!
