Reject....

...

your scores are perfect...

why are you even worrying

vandan, are you serious?

I don't have any really good ecs or anything, they are bland and common
i have seen on other places that a perfect SAT with only mediocre ECs are usually rejected

i mean, i don't want to trash my ecs, they are fun and i enjoy doing them, but i have seen so many people with ecs on just another level that make you say wow

jeez, you have totally perfect scores. I wouldn't sweat it.... supposedly EC's are important, but not deciding factors.

t r o l l

Vandan's just jealous, as we all are. I think you have the perfect (literally) grades, but your Extracurriculars are on the weaker side. And be clear on the National Merit. Are you a semifinalist or a commended scholar? What is your GPA? Any APs? What scores? We need more info.

i'm a semifinalist
i have four AP tests, all 5s
will have taken 8 before i graduate (most in my school)
GPA is a 3.9 unweighted (all As, an A- in AP Language last year) , idk what it is weighted

i'm from wisconsin too, does that help?
I know that's better than like New Jersey or Massachusetts, but does it help much?

vanderbilt and UPenn in
the rest: you can never know for sure.

I really hate you. I hope something happens to you so that other average humans like me can make it to the Ivies (jk :) )

Yeah, being from Wisconsin helps. But with your grades, it doesn't even matter.

well, thanks for the confidence boost, but i won't stop worrying until april 1st
with the random decisions i have seen on cc, ik it is a crapshoot
and with my lack of "wow-factor" EC's, you never know
I really didn't think about college until this past summer
all my ECs are just what I do for fun
now i wish i had a rich professor for a dad that paid my way to take service trips in africa and stuff

Great as long as senoritis, attitude or hubris don't become a problem.

"vanderbilt and UPenn in
the rest: you can never know for sure."

I'd say Penn is more unpredictable than Duke and Rice. You are more likely to get into the latter two than the former. After HPS, Penn is the toughest school on your list.
