Dear steveb120 : Your GPA, class rank, board scores, academic rigor, subject tests, and advanced placement curriculum all seem to be in place. Our only question is how did you wind up with a 6 on the essay? Somehow, that is the only piece of the jigsaw puzzle that does not fit! Two sport athletic participation, music, honor society, and some community involvement are all present. On this last point, you might want to underscore how your efforts have made a difference overall to the community.

Yours is an extremely compelling application and we would not be surprised to see you as part of the Class of 2014. Good luck in your application process.

Thanks scottj. I’m still at a loss about the essay too…I brought a copy to my school’s AP English teacher for her to her look at, and she said it was a very well-written essay…I honestly think it might be because they couldn’t read my horrible handwriting haha.

^ Can I read your essay so I can understand more of how to improve mine while learning from yours?

yeah i’ll pm you, good luck with the reading part though haha
