Thanks again!

I think your reaches are far reaches and your safety's are more like matches.

anyone else?

what's your rank? a 3.4 GPA means nothing without a rank, b/c some grade-inflated schools may have 14 vals a year while a tough school may have one val with a 3.6

Also, you have an acceptable chance at most of those schools (with exceptions to Brown and Northwestern, but I'm a safe person).

If I were sitting on an adcoms, honestly, I wouldn't be impressed with the fact that you scored mid-600s on 2 of your SAT IIs, although your SAT II bio score may be forgiven with your 4 on the AP test.

Your ECs and essays may bump the scale in your favor though.

How hard is your courseload compared to what is possible in your school? If it's a "very demanding" courseload instead of "most demanding possible," then it could make a difference.

I'd write more but I gotta do something else right now

switch bu to a match and fordham to a safety.

just out of curiousity, why dont you want to play softball in college?

CollegeHere I_ Come!- Our school doesn't rank because the GPA s are so close that everyone would be tied. Also I would consider it a most difficult courseload. People constantly tell me I have no life.

Huskem55- Why don't I want to play softball in college? Well after a few recruiting visits, I decided that I really would sacrafice way too much for the type of education I want. I want to go into film, something you can't just take a typical courseload. You need to make connection, develop extracurriculars etc. Softball conflicted way too much with the ultimate goal in my life. I'll probably play club or in ASA league but I decided not to play intercollegiate. After giving up so much time for it in high school, it was a hard decision, but I feel it was the best decision.

Thanks again for replying!

BTW, I just found out today that four of my art pieces were selected by the school to sell (as prints) on Alumnae Weekend to raise money Hurricane Katrina Relief! Go Me!

bump.... by the way, I'm also working at the art sale for alumnae weekend and I'm running a 5k for more Hurricane Relief.

Your reaches need to be toned down a level and BU is a match, not a safety. I'd be interested in other comments though as your stats are similar, just a bit lower than mine.

thanks for your response duffman!
