Also, I want to major in engineering.

What is your class rank? Have you taken a rigorous courseload compared to the toughest courses your school offers?

They also don’t superscore by the way. Your ACT composite of 29 is slightly below the middle 50% of students admitted to engineering (30-33). Your Math subscore of 32 will be considered also. So, it looks like, from the information provided, that you’re right on the bubble, slight reach. That makes your essays very important. If you don’t get into the engineering program of your choice, then I’m fairly confident you’ll get an offer for DGS, which is equivalent to applying undecided. Once in DGS, you can take the same classes that you would if you were directly admitted to engineering. You can then apply for a transfer into Engineering, if your grades support it.

ah, a segue-way for my question of the day - probably to drusba. What was the acceptance rate into coE of those who applied from DGS and who of course satisfied all the course/transfer requirements+? From the DGS website++ I see that 68 entered into coE from DGS last spring. How many qualified students attempted to do this transfer at that time? 68?
