in. oh the envy

oo man...

ur like guaranteed man.

have fun at harvard!

Hello,
does anyone have anything else to say besides the fact that I'm apparently already accepted at Harvard or that I'm a terrible person.

Write an intriguing, humble essay

Yeah, looking humble in your essay will REALLY help and just make sure that you don't get rejected. Have a conservative app since you have so many hook factors.

Just a quick question, why is your user name LiLaoshi if you're not chinese. Only somebody chinese would use "Li teacher". And another question, I got a similar score on my Chinese SATII (740). However, it was in the 24% percentile. How will a college look at that?

I think your admission has been all but solidified. I think you know that.

To the above poster: I believe he clarified in his original post that he studied Chinese in China for two years or whatever.

I choose LiLaoshi because my old Chinese teacher's name was Li. I'd also just taken a Chinese test and was thinking about the subject. Probably should have done Xiao Dai, but oh well.

I agree about the SAT 2s I've taking 2 new ones in December.

Not to ruin your spirits, but we sent only 16, not 17 people to harvard last year. And how do you get 84 the past four years? It's actually somewhat less.

Oh, was that the admit catagory?
It always was a bit confusing, they have one thing on the website, another in the brochure, and another at the office

Ahh... I see now.
What I was looking at was for the class of 04 not 05. This brochure is apparently out of date, I'll head over to the admissions building tomorrow and get the new one. My apologies.

Anyway, any other thoughts?

I see you took AP Geo. I never knew Phillips offered that course. Or did you self-study?

LiLaoShi: are both of your parents white, or is one chinese?

Self studied Geo and English Lit

My parents are both white although my uncle's wife is Chinese

Hey, I self-studied Geo too. It was so easy. But English Lit? UR crazy.

hmm, not to bother you, but none of the co-presidents of the andover economics society is taking the courses you said you take.

Yo, have I got any chance?

29 on ACT
5- us history
5- world history
4- bio

sat ii's
bio 710
us history 700

im hispanic, u know, typical first generation, dad worked picking tomatoes, mom took care of little rich kids
unweighted gpa 3.9/4.0

AP courses this year: calc ab, physics c, french, government

leadership: vice president of mu alpha theta, historian of physics club and secretary of some other club

I enlisted into the national guard, so I went to army infantry basic training as a junior, so I wrote about that experience and how I was squad leader and all the crap that happened over there and how it changed me

Anyway, have I got any chance?

Post on a seperate thread please.

IF everything you say is true, you may indeed be an auto admit. There really is nothing bad against you. Please dont post again.

720 on Chinese, MAY SOUND EXTREMELY BAD since percentile is like 40.

But for a non-asian that is Phenomenol and almost Spectacular. Keep going man you really are reaching for the stars man, i hope you find a passion and go extremely deep into it.

"Any thoughts would be nice?"

Suggest you go to Princeton and then to Yale law school. Be a rebel.
