Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, Co-Editor of the Literary Magazine, Co-President of Academic Challenge Quiz Bowl Team, 4-year member of chorus, NHS member. Volunteer at the Diversity Center and at local hospital, and am a member of Leadership Diveristy Team and church Liturgy Team

I held an internship last summer at the CSU Poetry Center, and I go to a lot of university sponsored creative writing and high school journalism workshops.

I have a lot of extra curriculars, but I'm worried about math scores, maybe irrationally so. I'm planning on majoring in English/Poli. Sci, so I'm hoping it won't be that big of a deal. Grinnell is my dream school, though and I've waited until the last minute (I'm finishing the supplemental essay right now).

Of course you know that worrying about your math scores won't do you any good. I think your stats are probably fine and your ecs sound great. You need to put your energy into conveying what you love about Grinnell and what you have to offer as a member of the community. Since you're a writer, you'll probably do a good job with that. The fact remains, though, that you've got a lot of very highly qualified competitors for a few hundred spots and admissions will be looking for diversity in the class as well as academic talent. I hope you are keeping your mind open to a number of other options--there are a lot of good schools out there. I would give this same advice to anyone, of course.

Yeah, I know. I didn't apply early desicion, because I wanted to keep my options open. I really like Macalester and Oberlin too. I just keep picturing myself at Grinnell. Oh well, I turned my application in, so now all I can do is wait...
