Yeah NU seems to be really good at lining good jobs up for their engineering students, so hopefully it would be easy to sell it to your parents if you decide to go here!

Definitely! Plus Chicago’s just amazing

Funny. I thought you were all about going to Harvard. Hmm.

When did I ever express a deep want for Harvard? NU is my #1 choice…

^
“And I’d wanna go [to Harvard] 'cause they actually share classes with MIT for engineering, yet you still get the Harvard feel. I’m aware it’d likely be a reach, but I’d like to get a ballpark idea of how realistic it is.”

Well, you posted this over at the Harvard pages yesterday, and you “bumped” your own thread there twice on the same day. With kids at both schools, I tend to look at both sites every few days to get or give advice. You sounded pretty excited.

That’s OK. They’re both fabulous schools. It just seemed funny to me.

I like both schools.

^
I’m sorry if I sounded snarky (I definitely sounded snarky) in my post. It’s important for you to get excited about a lot of schools. When I asked my daughter which her favorite was, she said, “It doesn’t make any sense for me to have a favorite until I find out where I’ve gotten into.” I thought that was a really good attitude to have. She loves NU.

Good luck to you!

Does your daughter go to NU?

And thanks for the luck!

Yes, she’ll be a sophomore in the fall.
