Serve as a musical director and accompianist for a children's musical theater organization completely run by high schoolers.

Work:
Last summer I was a red cross certified life guard.
This summer I'm a WSI Swimming teacher.

My biggest thing basically is music. I'm thinking about essays involving the time my a capella group sang randomly on the streets in Boston around Christmas (I think its very Yale...) or maybe how I integrated my love of music into community service by passing it on to other kids. My recs will be good and all that.

So anyway, any help you can give me... Thanks!

Yeah, the only reason I would put that is because my school doesn't officially report my rank but they still give the award out as tradition to the valedictorian. So I'm trying to find a way to convey my rank to them...

get your counselor maybe to write about it and you could just say that you were given an award that is traditionally given to the student with the highest academic standing.

very impressive stats.

I really really hope you are admitted. However, all of this talk about Boston and Harvard, why don't you go for Harvard early? Just wondering.

Well, I visited Harvard and I really liked it. But Yale seems to have a more vibrant music and drama scene, or at least that is my impression. I'd be happy at either though, and my school tends to get higher admits to Harvard anyway. But there is a part of me that would like to see another city. I've experienced Boston enough, you know? Anyway, Yale is just a beautiful campus and a really great atmosphere so yeah...

Hmm, well I guess there is no harm in trying. You seem like you would have a fantastic shot at Harvard in the regular pool anyways, also considering the fact that your school sends many people to Harvard.

Looks good to me... although who really knows with Yale.

I'm going to EA Yale too... it looks like we have sort of similar qualifications (my info is in some of my other posts). White males from the northeast with good grades and SATs, good extracurriculars short of joining the American Ballet company at 5 or saving a villiage of aborigines from certain death using only some dental floss and a matchstick. Good luck to you! And wish me luck!

Hey I think you've got a shot. potus2 and kwijiborjt, I think we're all applying EA to good 'ole Yale. potus2, your arts EC's show we have a lot of similar interests as well. Gah! Good luck to everyone!

Hey, me too! Haha I knew all the EAers last year cause I was on this board so much. We're going to bond so much over the next few months, haha. I can't wait!

YOU'LL GET INTO COMMUNITY COLLEGE ... IF YOU'RE LUCKY.

Just kidding. Stats look great. Just be genuine, and play up the a capella interest. You won't believe how many Yale admissions officers used to be members of singing groups, so they might subconsciously look favourably on this interest.
