<p>I'm interested in applying to Skidmore college. I've always been very interested in Skidmore, my mom is an alumni there, I've always been very involved. I had a rough time freshman and sophomore year, my parents were going through a rough divorce. My gpa was very low those years, ( Medium- Low 70's). My Junior year was great, I had about an 85 GPA, and my Senior year is amazing so far (95 first quarter). My class rank is measured freshman through junior year. Since my grades 2 out of the 3 years weren't great, my class rank put me in the bottom 50%. I have been on the crew team all 4 years of high school (Fall, Winter, Spring, 3 hours a day,5-6 days a week + overnights with races), and I'm an eagle scout. I have over 1000 hours of community service between rebuilding america, and my youth group. I just found out my SAT scores are lower than I thought (SAT 560 CR, 550 MATH). I'm applying early decision to Skidmore (It is ABSOLUTELY my top choice). I've been told I have an excellent college essay, and I think I would do very well in an interview. Also, I believe I will have a few special letters of recommendation. Skidmore has always been my top choice, and I'm wondering If I have a good chance getting in through Early Decision. I've been told the alumni relation could help out a lot. Opinions?</p>
