Chances...that you will attend Penn if accepted

I thought it would be fun to do this. I was thinking about the probability that I would attend Penn (Wharton) if accepted…

P(I attend Penn if accepted) = P(choices above Penn reject me) = .9 * .9 = .81 —> this assumes I am into Penn already

P(I actually attend Penn) = .9 * .9 * .15 = .1215 —>assuming 15% rate for Wharton.

Post your probabilities, non-EDers!

what if you don't have any choices above Penn?

P(I attend Penn if accepted)=1 (if fin aid is ok)
P(I actually attend Penn)=.1

100% if accepted.

100% if accepted aswell.

that's not even a question....of course I will go if I'm accepted.

Chance of being accepted...extremely low.

100% (10char)
But I'm not gonna get in...

100% if my one choice above penn rejects me

5% chance I'll attend if accepted. UMich and Chapel Hill want me badly, that's why. Penn deferred me and they don't deserve to have me.

You're really cool, dulce. Do you post on these boards to feel better about yourself, or just to let everyone else know just how fantastic you are?

Well, don't shoot me, but I'm about 99.9% sure I'm not going to Penn if accepted

100% sure i'll do to penn if accepted and am able to pay.
.0000001% that i'll actually get accepted

100% if Im accepted and get aid and don't get into cornell or columbia
1% if i'm accepted and dont get aid
50% if im accepted into either cornell or columbia and penn (I'd just flip a coin..lol)

5% if i can't afford it

It all depends on where I'm accepted. If I'm accepted to every school I applied to, then maybe 10% for Penn.

20%, already have two acceptances: Dartmouth and Williams along with UCs
10% if i get into Duke or Yale or Brown
5% if i get less money than Duke Yale Brown etc

40% to 50%

i would definitely go to penn if accepted; the only school that i like as much as penn is bc.

Son says Penn is 25% at best if accepted

Northwestern turns son down (better engineering)
Tough Choice between Penn and USC (calif)

not over princeton
