I am a student from Vietnam( and English is not my first language). I have recently taken the SSAT test on Jan 7th. I am not sure whether I had done it well. I guess my scores are in the range of 50-70%. May I have any chances to attend Choate Rosemary Hall, NMH, Exeter, Kent or the Masters School.....

I am male. 15 years old. Applying for 10th grade.
I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin fluently
I am managing an online shop
I took part in charitable works in the suburban areas.
I participates in the summer camp every year
I am the General Secretary of the class, I was class president and had positions in class every year. I was a school president when I was in elementary school.

Retake the SSATs- aim for 75%+

Um, you can’t retake the SSATs anymore. January 7th is the last day you can take it of THIS year.

plus he hasnt got his scores back yet so u cant judge

Do those schools require high SSAT scores even for international students?
I did well in the Math section, pretty well in Reading but I left 10 blank in the verbal.

Ok well, I’m the opposite I did awful on math, amazing on verbal and pretty much as good at math and ended with a 81 percentile, when my math was nowhere near that. You never know. But, may I suggest you take the TOEFL, a test that all boarding schools accept and it is specifically for students internationally applying and without english as their first language. That paired with an average SSAT could get you in. But anything below a 75th percentile will definitely not land you a spot in those schools

Don’t you have to take the TOEFL if English isn’t your first language?
