Chances to get into duke?

Hi guys,

So I’m thinking of applying to duke (pratt) as my ed and am curious as what my chances are. Below is the major stuff I’m going to have sent if I apply.

Ib score - 37 (6 in hl math, 7 in physics, 6 in hl chem, 6 in sl english, 5 in ab french and sl psych) (about a 4.05 weighted?)
act - 35 first attempt (36 math, 36 science, 35 reading, 34 english, 8 writing…)
sat subject test - taking soon but I’m getting 750-800 in phys and math level 2 on practice.
school doesn’t give class rank

letters of rec
sl teacher loves me even though im not doing that well and told me she wrote an amazing rec
not sure on phys but hes my cas advisor and knows about the many activities im doing + is mentoring a phys competition im leading + knows about my love for phys.
Counsellor rec - will probably be really good
Additional rec - getting the principal plus heads of makers space and stuff to make a combines rec highlighting my qualities

essays

taught students in schools on solving problems through innovation using arduinos
leader of first ever a company’s business challenge where I worked with students to create an innovative business proposal that received 10k$ as a reward.

Co/vice founder of music ngo where I played in a band in old age homes/ hospitals all over my state + taught students biweekly. Trying to move this internationally. Was leader of a school ngo where I raised money for poor people in india (thousands of dollars)
Did internship (not a program) in a well known university where i used fpgas and attempted to make pid feedback loops with waves etc.
MMA fighter, won national silver karate medal a couple years ago.

I’m in a super competitive school though so that might be a disadvantage + my gpa + my race (indian)

It’s a huge info dump but a general guidance on whether I should even bother applying considering my gpa would be awesome (uni advisor is saying there wont be a point)

PS - US citizen living abroad^^

what is ur UW GPA? Also, ur advisor told u not to apply? If you really want some good engineering schools I would consider Cornell— it is a prestigious school but their engineering is ranked better or MIT/Stanford (but these are much more competitive)

Your extracurriculars are really good so that is definitely a plus

IB is different from gpa but in gpa it’s about 3.65…yea not high at all. I am taking one of the most difficult packages though and am doing well in my highers so I’m hoping that’ll help a bit…

I’m considering pre med too and that’s one of the reasons why duke is my top choice + duke appeals to me as a college with interdisciplinary engineering and building from year one encouraged.

My advisor said I can try but it would be a long shot simply due to how competitive our school is + my relatively low gpa.
