I feel like I don't have chance to get into University of Michigan Ann Arbor despite my hard efforts. A full IB school (#9 public high-school in America currently). My GPA is pretty low @ a 3.44, but I have a 33 ACT score. I played varsity sport for one year. I did 70 hours of volunteering, and I also did DECA. I am also president of a few clubs and I participated in the C-SPAN student cam competition for two years and got honorable mentions as well as participating in the M-HACKS hackathon. My sister also went to University of Michigan Ann Arbor and is currently in their medical school. What are my chances of getting into U-Mich? What else can I do to improve?

I’d move this to the chance forum and/or the UM page

your GPA is a serious issue. Are you instate?

Publics tend to weight GPAs heavily.

Is that your weighted GPA?

Are you a senior? If so, what else can you do? There isn’t any time to improve.
