I wants to major in HISTORY!!!!
GPA: 85.17 going up hopefully
I go to a honors program at Dewitt Clinton HS.
English: 3 years of honors english. I will be taking AP English Lit next year.: Science: living environment honors, chemistry honors and physics honors
HISTORY: Freshmen year world history honors then got switched to AP World history my sophmore year. AP U.S history this year and I will be taking AP European history next year.
Math: algebra honors, geometry honors, algebra 2 honors, Trigonometry honors and next years I will be taken pre calc.
Language: 2 years of regular spanish and I'm currently taking AP spanish language.
Electives: writing, literary criticism, piano, health,gym and History Research.</p>
<p>Participated in the REACH scholar program in Baruch college
Sports and Arts foundation
STEP program at Fordham University
And will join key club.
I played baseball for 2 yrs at clinton and I will tryout for their schools volleyball team</p>
<p>In my opinion, you will get in. Are you going into 11th grade? You don’t mention SAT scores. Your GPA seems right in the average for accepted students. Study hard for your SAT’s and you might get scholarship money too! Good luck.</p>

<p>your SAT scores are also in range of accepted students. if you look at the SUNY Plattsburgh site, there is a scholarship calculator. With your GPA, and slightly higher SAT scores, you are in range for a scholarship too .$1000.00 per year. You would need SAT score of 1100 for that. You can study hard, and retake the SAT to try and score a little higher. Also, everyone should always apply to more than one college, just to be on the safe side. Any other schools you are considering? What major are you thinking about?</p>
<p>By the way, my son also received that mailing from Plattsburgh, congratulating him on his acceptance, although he didn’t apply either. We then received an apology letter stating the acceptance mailing was sent to him in error. Didyou receive that letter?</p>
<p>Yea I received it also. I want to major in History and so far I’m projected to finish high school with 3 AP history courses if that helps. I also will be applying to SUNY albany, Buffalo and St John’s university. Plattsburgh is my main choice, I feel like its right for me. Since I love traveling, canada is like 30 minutes away so that’s awesome.</p>
<p>My older son applied there, back in 2008, and was accepted. He ended up going elsewhere, however in all the email contacts and whatnot, they seemed so nice, professional, and prompt with all the responses to our inquiries. We didn’t get to visit the campus, have you? if not yet, will you be planning a visit? I also have a second son, a senior this year, like you.</p>
