Chances to UA honors and some top schools

Hi everyone, I’m a high school senior from AZ, and I was wondering if you could chance me for the following schools:

UA honors college, Cornell, USC, Columbia (ed) and Northwestern

White male, income of just over 50,000
Attend public school, ranked nationally in the 2500s.
GPA 3.9/4.3
Rank: 5/ 352
SAT: 2120
Haven’t taken subject tests yet

Orchestra- 4 years, biggest orchestra fanatic in my school, played in symphony, chamber, pit, regional, and youth orchestra, also the concertmaster and an officer
Violin- 7 years, but have only been practicing seriously for 4.
Link Crew- 2 years officer, we help freshman get adjusted to high school
JBMSHP- 1 summer, program to take calculus at ASU, we also do applied math research here.
Science olympiad- 2 years, just a member
French club- 2 years, just a member

Recs- Probably good, around 8-9 out of 10

Awards:
Academic letter, Foreign language student of the quarter, PYS offer, regional orchestra, outstanding symphony orchestra student award

I could see you getting into any of these schools with your rank and sat scores. Feel like your a solid candidate for northwestern and USC, but the Ivies are a reach for everyone. Good Luck

I agree with what bobbykevin said. You have to make sure your essays wow the admissions officers, especially with Cornell and Columbia. They’re going to be receiving applications with students just like you and many with better test scores and/or better extracurriculars (not trying to be mean). So make sure your essays really grab the reader’s attention. Perhaps you can talk about the influence music has had on your life and what it means to you. How has it changed you? Has it altered your character? Would you be complete without it? etc. Make it very creative and analytical. Start writing it this summer if the prompts have been released!
If you really work hard and right a very insightful, introspective personal statement I think it’ll really give you a great chance at all of your schools :slight_smile:
