<p>Hi, I was wondering what my chances are to the following schools:</p>

<p>Tufts University
Rice
Amherst
Williams
Stanford
Harvard
UCLA
UC Davis
UC Santa Barbara
Boston College</p>

<p>Grades: UW GPA: 3.96 (4.0 UW Junior year and first sem. of senior year)
Weighted Gpa: 4.51
Class Rank: 2/126
I will have taken 8 APs by end of senior year. Last year: Chem 5 APUSH 5 English Lang 5
I take the most rigorous classes available </p>

<p>Testing:
SAT: CR: 750 Math: 710 Writing 710 w/ 9 essay
Total: 2170
Subject Tests: US History: 770 Chemistry: 750
I know my SAT is relatively low, but the average for my school is about a 1470 total :o</p>

<p>ECS are decent I guess. I started a club, and I am also on the varsity volleyball team (all 4 yrs). I live on a farm, so most of my time is spent working, taking care of animals, etc... will this make me stand out?</p>

<p>I haven't read my teacher recs, but I think they will be good. My chem teacher really likes me, and my counselor thinks I'm amazing haha.</p>

<p>No hooks--White, lower middle class. I don't think I would be considered 1st generation; my dad dropped out of college, and my mom went to community college. </p>

<p>I live in California, so I'm instate for the UCs. Planning on majoring in Chemistry</p>

<p>It cuts both ways. Your score may be high for your school but it makes the rank less impressive.</p>

<p>I think you’re easily in at the UCs, very good shot at Tufts, BC and Rice, AW not out of the question, unlikely at H and S.</p>

<p>Good luck, like you already said, the only thing holding you back is your SAT. The SAT II’s may make up for that though. I think you will probably get into at least 5 or 6 of your schools.</p>

<p>Yeah I agree with the SAT/rank thing. My school is basically a joke–people have 4.3/4.4 gpas with 1600s and 1700s on the SAT. Grade inflation invasion! So yeah, my rank isn’t as impressive as it seems lol.</p>
