<p>I've reallly been wanting to go to Davis for a few years now.. I have some good ideas for my college essay but here is everything else..</p>

<p>I am currently taking AP Environmental Science, Econ, Business Ownership, AP Calculus AB, English</p>

<p>I got a 3 on my AP German exam.</p>

<p>I have a couple hundred community service hours at my religious institution. I played JV Tennis Frosh/Soph year. JV Basketball Junior year. I have/had been a member of: MSA, National Honor Society, Strive to end poverty, Public speaking club, So far I have a 1570 on the SAT. I plan on taking it again before college apps. On practice tests I have been getting 1780ish. I'm hoping to pull that up a couple hundred until the SAT. I also took a 3.0 credit Philosophy class over the summer and am currently taking a 3.0 credit Humanities class at a nearby community college. Those two classes should bring up the GPA if I'm correct..</p>

<p>Judging by my "resume" do you think I can get into Davis?</p>

<p>@dkwunw: I calculated every class I have posted above and it came out to be a 3.30</p>

<p>Not really.</p>

<p>Most state schools, including Davis, are extremely formulaic. ECs and community service barely count for anything, while GPA/scores count for everything.</p>
