I was also wondering if anyone knew what the chances of getting your first choice after graduating. I want to go into the Marine Corps, and if its not almost guaranteed i will probably do NROTC Marine Option so I am guaranteed Marine Corps. Thank you in advance for any help.

You need to compare yourself to the Class of 2010 to determine whether or not you are competitive for an appointment to the Naval Academy.

<a href="http://www.usna.edu/Admissions/documents/PlebeClassProfileClass2010.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.usna.edu/Admissions/documents/PlebeClassProfileClass2010.pdf</a></p>

Why not just apply and find out for sure? ;)

grades? SAT/ACT scores?

You're not guaranteed anything in the military... But yeah, I'm pretty sure a (very) large percent of last years class got their first or second choice.

I've read that your getting a Marine officer slot relies heavily on the summer Marine "cruise" known as... uh, I think Bullpup. Bull something! Definitely not Bull s***, though! :)

^^^^^
The summer traing program for those interested in the Marine Corps is called "Leatherneck." The training is conducted at The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, VA.

Right! Leatherneck. I swear, I read something involving Marine training that has bull in the name of it.

Bulldog...

mascot......
