Taking very heavy courseload with all AP/Honors classes

APs when I graduate: Modern Euro, US History, Calc., Economics or US Govt., Physics II, English IV, maybe Spanish IV...have taken an AP every available time except for the art related ones.

Also a question...would Spanish 5 or Spanish 4 AP look better for me to take as a senior? 5 has a good teacher and would be easier, so if AP doesn't look significantly better, I will stick with 5.

I have a longer list of EC's, that is just a short list of the activities that are the most important to me.

I realize the schools I am asking chances for are tough to get into. If you have any suggestions of similar schools that I may be interested in please mention them. Looking for: Division 1 sports, good academic reputation, good social, greek life - doesn't have to be huge, just fun.

Thanks.

Also UNC please

..anybody?

Out of state UNC and UVA are going to be reaches as will Northwestern. UNC and UVA primarily because you are OOS, in-state you would be in. Vanderbilt is realistic. Also check out Wake Forest, division 1 sports, greek life, great academics and it is a good match for you, I'm a freshman here, so I could answer any more questions you have about it.

Northwestern - Reach
UNC (OOS) - Reach
UVA (OOS) - Slight Reach / Reach
Vanderbilt - Match

Just looking at your college list, I'd suggest applying to UMich, which would be a nice match. It is quite similar to the schools you listed so far :)

Thanks so far. UVA is the top school on my list so far...my brother goes there and after visiting I loved it. I've considered Wake Forest but from what I here there is no Engineering school there...that is all that turned me away from it.

Michigan would be pretty fun too. Another quick question, what exactly does Reach or Slight Reach or Match mean? I understand what each basically means, but what chance of admission could I expect from a "reach" school assuming I have good-great essays, recs, etc.?

anything else?

dude...if u r going in engineering, apply to umich lol, u mich owns every single school you mentioned in engineering
