<p>You have a pretty nice variety of colleges. To save yourself some expenses, you might want to limit the number of reaches and throw in some matches. Being URM will help you a lot, though, so I wouldn’t say any of your listed reach colleges are necessarily impossible. I really recommend focusing on pulling your GPA up above all.</p>
<p>You’re only a moderately competitive applicant for, say, Columbia, but a superb applicant for a Liberal Arts college that could feed directly into it.</p>
<p>Yeah, when admission rates double, I personally doubt there’s a very big advantage because of all of the factors, but don’t take my word for it, Cornell could easily be different! Most of the time, people who know to apply ED are going to be better suited for the college and show more demonstrated interest than RD applicants (and you’re right, there will be some legacies and athletes making it harder for the rest of us ugh).</p>
