Chances? what schools should I look at? What reaches?

about colleges?
I need some unbiased advice about what colleges would be schools I could get into, as well as which ones would be reaches and fits. Average GPAs and test scores are online but its hard to get a sense of things exp. when everyone has a different course load.
My statisitics are as follow:
a 3.66 GPA and a 3.821 weighted(but Im an incoming senior and plan to raise that up)
have taken and plan to take MATH:Alegebra 1 and honors 11
Geometry, and trig
honors english all 4 years
SS:world history, APUSH, ap gov, ap phys
science:bio, honors chem, physics, APES
SPanish 2, 3,4,5(ap) and next year plan to take lit and comp.
All they way up to chinese 5
photo and comp graphics
I think thats about it.
EC include pres. of international club, member of key club, travelled to china on govt grant wth school, participated in govt. sponspered chinese immersion camp, state qualifer for speach and debate last year. helped organize volunteers for our local food bank. Have more than 75 hours of community service and I have also participated in the cast(chorus) and crew of my local high school's drama productions. My act was a 27 but It was my first time and I have been studying like CRAZY so i hope to come out with a least a thirty. So theoretically speaking with a 30 and my gpa and classes as they are where should i be applying? I want a broad rnage of schools. Money is a consideration but really I can go one of two ways. I can either apply to schools that have lower stats than i do OR I can pray that I will get into a school that covers 100 percent of financial aid.
I would like to study international relations and continue my language studies but i am still undecided. I am hispanic if that helps at all and live in ohio.

provide me with a couple colleges you think would be good fits and reaches. these are the ones that have caught my eye, that i have visited, or that im interested in even if they dont quite fit my stats.
Mount holyoke(idk why, just very interested) Boston college(never visited, very curious), my mother went to wooster(ohio) I hear their good about lineage stuff, visting Dc this week and going to see the big ones like georgetown, American, and GWU, and going to U of richmond and William and mary as well. Im interested in bowdoin just cuz i hear they ahve a great political science department but i know its a reach! I plan to apply to at least one mega reach for the heck of it but not all of them of course. For eaiser schools to get into I have explored ohio and have looked at schools like miami u, dayton , OSU(not a reach more like a fit, my brother goes there and loves it
*sorry for the typos! typing on an ipad is extremely difficult!

Middlebury is similar to Bowdoin and has great language programs.

Thats what I hear, but its also extremely hard to get into. Will my interest in languages help even if my scores are less than ideal. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances?

Ohio State seems to be a match for you and an overall good college. It’s also in the state and your brother goes there. I would strongly consider Ohio State University.

In the Midwest: Check out Denison in Ohio if you haven’t. They’re pretty good with aid, and as an LAC I’m sure they’d be right up your alley. The campus is nice too, and you’d be a solid candidate there. You seem to like LACs (bowdoin, Mt. Holyoke, etc.) so maybe check out St. Olaf in Minnesota or Centre college in Kentucky. I’ve heard nothing but great things about both, and I know they’re also cheaper/more generous. Outstanding programs all around at these two. You’d also be a very likely admit at both of these.

If you’re willing to go a little further from the midwest definitely check out Rhodes in Memphis. They’ve apparently got a stacked polisci program and ranked first on some civic engagement study I read about. They’re also really into volunteering there, which is pretty cool. You’d get in for sure there too. Santa Clara University in Calfornia is really similar and has great connections with silicon valley and subsequently global business/international affairs, especially in east asia. You’re a shoe-in for admission there too.

So those are basically some match/safety suggestions. (Although you’d easily get into all of them.)

As far as reaches go:

The two schools that immediately came to mind when reading about you were Emory and the University of Southern California. Both are incredibly diverse, internationally minded schools. Assuming you can get your score to a 30 or above, I’d say you have a pretty good shot at these with your stellar Extracurricular activities and general well-roundedness.

Thanks for the chance btw. Good luck!
