Chances with average GPA, decent SAT scores?

SATs: 1340/1600, 2060/2400
ACTs: Expecting 28-32
SAT2s: 690-730 US History, 650-690 Literature

GPA freshman through junior year: 3.32 unweighted
I have a pretty clear upward trend though:
freshman year was about 3.14
sophomore was about a 3.3
junior year was a 3.5 with a pretty difficult schedule.

My school does not weight honors/pre-ib courses (I took 3 freshman and sophomore years), so the only year with any weighted courses was junior year which becomes a 3.71.

Senior year I took a schedule with only 1 AP and 2 IBs and am expecting a first quarter GPA of 3.6 unweighted, 3.8ish weighted.

School district is also on a 94+=A, 90-94=B+, 84-90=B,... grading scale. I have received several B+s that would be A's in other school districts.

School does not rank, but I'm probably top 20% or so in a graduating class of ~600.

Middle class white kid from Northern Virginia.

ECs:
2 years cross country
4 years tennis (all-district for 2 years)
4 years school paper (nationally ranked publication with which I have held pretty powerful positions)
2 years DECA
2 years Quill & Scroll
Won Regional Science Fair sophomore year

probably a couple more average activities

Wondering what my chances are for:

University of Virginia (I know it's a reach)
Villanova
Tulane
University of South Carolina
University of Colorado
Univeristy of Florida
Florida State
Virginia Tech
Boston University
Syracuse

I am hoping to study business of some sort at a large university. If you have any other suggestions for me please post them...public/private does not really matter to me.

Thanks.

...anyone?

I think you have good chances at most of these schools. Upward trend, solid scores, good activities. Toughest will probably be UVA and Florida

do u live in Florida? cause your unweighted seems ok and your SAT seems ok so i think you are fine for UF and all others except UVA.

I hate to bump this, but I'm just looking for a couple more opinions, particularly for University of Florida, Villanova, and UVA...am I 50/50, 40/60...??

Seriously, I have almost no idea how much adcoms take grade trend and grading scale into account and my counselor does not seem very knowledgeable either.

In most other school districts I'd have about a 4.1 weighted GPA over my junior year and the first quarter of senior year, but instead it's only like a 3.8ish weighted, and on top of that I had slightly below 3.2s freshman and sophomore years...

btw, satscholar, I live in NoVA, not Florida.

Thanks!!

My son has a 3.28 unweighted gpa in a high performing suburban high school. c's in physics and precalc junior year. A's and B's in other college prep and AP courses. 670M/640CR/630W on the SAT.

Where does he fit? We live in New England.
