Chances with just SAT scores and GPA ?

If a person has SAT scores of 670 M and 700V with a 4.0 GPA what would be the chance of that person getting in Columbia ? I know SAT and GPA aren't everything... What do you think?

i think its hard to predict without ecs because if you take a look at the ed and rd rounds, columbia weighs ecs very heavily

SATs are a bit low. . . consider retaking in the fall

no offense ivyleague99 but dude how many times do you have to post "what are my chances?" " do you think i'll get in if i do ________ or ______ over the summer?" blah blah blah

i admire your interest in columbia, but keep in consideration that admission to an ivy league college is VERY RANDOM. SAT scores are bogus...i know people with 1600s and 4.0s who get flat out rejected and i knoq people with 1270 SAT scores who get in. my advice for you is to GET off this board and draft your essay, volunteer at a soup kitchen, do some yoga or take a jog........ it is much more constructive.

Surely you don't expect us to give you a concrete percentage chance that you'll get in, that's literally impossible for any candidate. The only thing we can tell you is something you probably already know: plenty of kids with low stats get in, and plenty with high stats don't, so there's always hope. If this isn't encouraging, then maybe your problem isn't really with whether or not you'll get into Columbia, but rather with being afraid about whether or not you'll get into Columbia. This isn't uncommon; most high achieving people have this kind of anxiety (I know I did at some point). Take it easy (meaning enjoy senior year as if you didn't have to worry about college apps), just continue doing well in school, write good essays, and hope for the best.

Well, I guess you are right...I am a little afraid.........
