Thanks everyone for helping me out! ANY ADVICE OR QUESTIONS ARE WELCOME!

I’d maybe recommend retaking e SAT(2230 SS is a little low for Yale and Ivies) and definitely retake Math II because anything other than an 800 in that will probably hurt. That being said, you have rigorous classes, well rounded ECs, and what seems like some nice awards(I’m not familiar with science awards, but they sound amazing :slight_smile: ). Raise those tests and you’ll have a great chance at getting in to at least one of your top schools!

Chance me back?

@asianfang Thanks!

Don’t retake the SAT, it will suffice as long as you have 700+ on each section.
I feel as though the only issue you may have is coming off as “just another Asian STEM applicant.”
You have a chance, so just apply and see what happens.

Agree with the above person on everything mentioned. Generally, the standard for Ivy admissions is a 2200+ (with all sections at 700+).

@PartyNextDoor Thanks! Is there anything I can do to avoid coming off as “just another Asian STEM applicant”?
@jarrett211 Thanks!

I wouldn’t worry about the “just another Asian STEM applicant” comments. Work on your essays and try to give adcoms a real sense of who you are. Do this and you’ll get into the match schools on your list and hopefully some of the reaches. You’ve got some solid EC’s.

Your extracurriculars are exceptional and enviable. Just put in your best in your essays. By the way, you’ll want to make sure to switch the ‘n’ and the ‘m’ when you’re applying to Pomona :slight_smile:
