Chances?! :)

I have applied, and my app says it’s being evaluated…i’m so nervous!

UW GPA: 3.6
W GPA: i am not sure of it, but i’m sure it is much higher because of honors/ap
SATs: 1620 (i know, terrible)
Class Rank: 16/215 (top 10%)
Honors/AP: All honors (i believe 12 of them) and 3 AP’s (AP Stats, AP Biology, AP Lit & Comp IV)
EC’s: 4 Year Varsity Swimming, Work Experience in the summer, Volunteer at A.I. duPont Hospital for 2 summers, National Honor Society, treasurer of 4 years in Key Club, French Club, Athletic Training Club, traveled to Europe with a club this past summer…etcccc
Recommendation: I think they are really well written!
Major: Health Sciences

Thanks so much! :)

even with the SAT, your course rigor and class rank should give you a very good chance.

thank you so much!! :)

Where are you from? If from Ohio, you have a pretty good chance.

i’m from new jersey :frowning: i hate being out of state for every school i’m applying too! i need to get out of NJ hahaha…i’m just gonna keep my fingers crossed…

CAHATH-

Yeah screw NJ, all we have is ugly ass Rutgers. Not fair at all. I didn’t even want to apply there, but did because of my family, haha.

you’re from NJ too?!? i know…it’s terrible. i was going to apply to rutgers but then i was like that’s not even worth it, because i’m not staying in NJ if i don’t have too! so now i’m stuck having to pay out of state tuition fees and making it 10 times harder to get into schools!

whats wrong with Rutgers? I know Camden and Newark are deathtrap cities, but what about New Brunswick?

Basically, 2 blocks away in any direction from the campus is ghetto. College Ave. is pretty much a dump, and is very unappealing. Also, the river is dirty as hell and can sometimes be smelt from the campus. The campus is split in 5 different areas, none of which are accessible to each other by walking except for busch and livingston. So unless you like riding the bus all day, then Rutgers is for you.

I personally am not attracted to it at all.

It will be close, let us know what happens!

princeton is in nj, but that doesnt really count. normal people dont get in there

Hey OP, how long after your (online) application was turned in did you get your email?

i got my confirmation email about 2 or 3 days after my application was in

i am getting so nervouss! chance anyone else? :)

I’m from New Jersey too lol. South Jersey though. You probably have a good chance after reading through all of your scores. SAT is the only thing that could hold you back. Top 10% is really helpful too (I sadly go to a school where we send like 40 kids to Ivy Leagues… and we aren’t even a private school, so being top 15% at my school is good enough for me)

i am from south jersey too!! where do you go?! if you don’t mind telling me haha :]

Lenape High School. you?

ohhh yeah i know where that is:) haha i go to Woodstown High School in salem county…about 30-45 minutes south of you, if you’ve heard of cowtown you know where woodstown is! haha

lol yeah i’ve never heard of it being called cowtown but i know where that is. by the way, if we have a reputation like moorestown (really rich preppy kids) it isn’t true. spreading the lenape isn’t stuck up “word”

hahaha yeah i just tell people that it’s in the same town as cowtown, people usually just refer to us as the “woodies” or something along those lines. but i don’t think you have that reputation at all! :)
