Hi im a senior from New Jersey. I was interested in University of Colorado Boulder and wanted to see what others thought of my chances. I realize my scores are lower than the standard so I was wondering if it was worth applying. Ive been accepted to other places, but this school would be my first choice. My overall high school gpa out of 4 was a 3.7. My SAT score was a 1790(64 W 63 CR 52 M) By the end of this year, I will have taken five AP classes. Ive done a varsity sport, jobs, and volunteer work at a rehabilitation center. I am interested in the business and environmental science schools. Any thoughts?

you seem like a match for the business school to me!

the b school at cu is definitely more prestigious, but our science department is still a good school. if you’re not certain on which school to apply to go for leeds because once you’re here they’ll make it impossible to transfer in. as for applying definitely do it. it’s sad but we accept a ton of students (mostly from california- not to discriminate but it’s true) with 2.8’s and 1500 sat’s (with writing). if they can get in you certainly should.

p.s. if you’re in the b school you won’t have to deal with a lot of the slackers. most people majoring in finance or systems are smart and motivated. the majority of the out of state, why were you accepted kids go to a&s…

I am not great at math(SAT score) so would it be better to apply to environmental science?
