Hi! I'm a junior in high school, and I've started seriously looking into colleges recently. Unfortunately, all that's done is made me have a little freak out, because I don't know if I can get into my dream school.

My dream school is Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, for their musical theater program.

I'm not sure all of what needs to be known, but here's the basics:

GPA: My school doesn't normally give GPA's, although I am in the proccess of having mine... gotten.
Grades:
Algebra IIA: B
Environmental Science: A+
Psychology: A+
Spanish IIB: A+
Literature: A+
Honors English: A+
(I am signed up for several honors courses next semester)
(My main worry about grades is if they count previous semesters against you? I failed all but one of my classes in Freshman year - since then I have taken extra courses and made up all the credits and then some)

Extracurriculars:
Girl Scout for 11 years
Girl Scout Leadership Award
(In-progress of working on getting: the Gold Award, which is equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Award; Advocate Award)
Volunteers at inner city schools
Musical Theater and Improvisation Camp during the summer (this summer, hasn't been taken yet)

And (unfortunately) that's it. I'm cyberschooled (like homeschooled) so I haven't gotten the chance to be in any school plays, but I could try and be in one next year. I don't know if being a Girl Scout would help my chances, but I figure it can't hurt. I have not taken the SAT's yet, but I've scored pretty high on the practice tests I've taken (around 1900ish).

Any comments would be very much appreciated, as well as any reccommendations on things I should do to help my chances. Thank you!
