I would really appreciate your feedback!

Your qualifications looks pretty good. By senior year, make sure to try to land a captain position on those sports teams and some sort of leadership position in the orchestra, if that’s even possible. Your work experiences looks legit though. Also, something very important about UChicago is that they need the bare qualifications but after that, they’re looking for exotic personalities. What I’m saying is that the essays (and yes, UC has famously absurd essay questions) are the MOST important component of your UC application. Make sure to really convey yourself uniquely and articulately, because sometimes you’ll be surprised at UChicago admissions decisions. For example, two people from my school applied. One was a nationally ranked mathlete, state record-setting track athlete, head of Science Olympiad, etc., and he got denied. He ended up going to MIT. I was the other one, and I got in. I had a decent GPA and some solid extracurriculars, but I wrote my best college essay for Chicago, a sassy piece about my name’s relevance to my personality, which I’m sure was what got me in. So, yeah. Make sure you convey a personality (but don’t be pretentious. Just be real).

@smallgarbagebag “my name’s relevance to my personality,”

What is your name? Ziploc?

I am an applicant at Deerfield Academy and the Lawrenceville School for boarding school as well!
