Chances

Hi, I'm looking to apply for a few prep schools for tenth grade. I live in Florida and go to a magnet arts high school. I have had high A's (96 +) since eighth grade. In seventh grade, I had many 94's - 95's. and my school is highly ranked among public schools nationally, although it is nowhere near the schools I would like to attend.
Schools I'm applying to:
*Phillips Exeter Academy
*Phillips Academy Andover
*Middlesex School
*St Paul's School

My Achievements:
*I love to write and have gone to an amazing program for it during the summer. I want to be an author for my career. Unfortunately, my current high school doesn't have much writing.
*I have done musical theatre since I was very young and love to be onstage! I have been given many lead roles. I participate in my school's theater program and an outside theater program.
*I love math! This isn't really an achievement, except I have an 100 average in math and I would be on Math Team, except my school doesn't offer one.
*For community service, I completed 50 hours last year and am on track to complete 75 this year. I volunteer as a therapy dog handler and at the local food pantry as well as things here and there with my girl scout troup.
*Other: I am on my school's debate team and in a television-production/film club.

SSAT-wise: I have not taken them yet. For the schools I want to go to, I know I need at least a score in the 90th percentile.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering my questions:
*What are my chances for the four schools above?
*What can I do to improve my application?
*Are there any other schools you would suggest?

Thanks again :)

wow, your achievements are pretty awesome (for lack of better word) lol…i dont really see anything u can do to improve it, maybe mention to them that ur school doesnt have a lot of options but youll participate in those things at their school…i heard from one of my friends that st. paul’s has a great theatre program, so if you get into tht school ur in luck! good luck!

ps. im applying to some boarding schools for freshman year 2012…any way u can look at my ‘chance me’ page and tell me how id do? thanks doll:)

You sound like a fantastic applicant. :)

I don’t know much, but I would say that you have a good chance for Middlesex, if you really push to do your best at your current EC’s and grades.
Exeter and Andover are much harder to get into, so I would say you have a slimmer chance at getting into those then you do of getting into other’s.
And honestly, I know nothing about St. Paul’s, so…
