<p>Based on the information that you’ve provided (no class rank, Course rigor-APs, Honors), I’d have to say you’d be a reach for Engineering at UIUC, but may make it into DGS where you can take the same classes as Engineering Students and, if your grades are good enough, you’ll be able to transfer in later.</p>
<p>Other schools you should consider a reach, but which are top engineering schools in the midwest are Michigan, Wisconsin, Purdue. In Illinois, you’d be a match for UIUC’s sister campus in Chicago, UIC, and their Engineering program.</p>

<p>what about business. i might do that. Anyways, I took a lot of ap and honors classes just got a bit hard during my 2nd semester of junior year. Theres a lot of kids in my class unweighted % is top 36 and weighted is top 25%. How are my chances with business? Any other schools i can apply to?</p>
<p>Business and engineering are very different fields…you may want to have a better idea of what you want to do.</p>

<p>I think you can transfer into engineering from DGS, but it’s pretty difficult.</p>

<p>I’d say apply as an engineer. If you don’t get into engineering, you will very likely get accepted to DGS.</p>
