Hi, i currently attend the university of hartford as a freshman. My gpa so far is a 3.85 on a pre-pharmacy track (bio, chem, etc). I want to transfer to binghamton for fall 2012. Since i am planning to go to pharmacy graduate school, which college at binghamton would i be in? How hard is it to get into that certain college? What is required for the transfer application? Is on-campus housing guaranteed for transfer students? What are my chances? My sats were low (1730). Thanks.

You would be applying for Harpur, the College of Arts & Sciences, which is generally speaking one of the easier schools to get into compared to the School of Management. On-campus housing isn’t guaranteed but it’s definitely possible to get it (my suitemates were transfers). I think it’s on a first-come first-serve kind of basis though. The transfer application is pretty much just doing the common app again, but instead writing an essay on why you’re transferring… I don’t know about the supplement though. I think your chances are really good, the requirements are lower for transfers than they are for freshmen UG’s, but regardless your SAT’s are still solid, and your GPA at UofH is really good. If you have any though, make sure to list extracurriculars, AP’s you took in high school, and the such. Also, if you’re an out of state student, that’ll increase your chances too. Hope this helped!
